DSL woes

i’ve just about had it with pacbell dsl. ever since they merged with SBC, their quality of service has gone way downhill. 2-hour incoming email delays, periodic outages (just had one this morning), and the worst was a 4-day outage of my DSL and voice line. there’s a rumor going around saying that they will upgrade all 384/128 lines to 786/384 to be comparable to cable speeds, but i think they should work on their connectivity first…
