fisher

i just installed Red Hat 7.1 beta (fisher) right now. yeah, i know it’s beta but my other swappable HD has WinME on it, which might as well be beta too. heh. one reason i upgraded to 7.1 was so i could get kernel 2.4 on my system. i tried upgrading to 2.4 on RH 7.0, but it got seriously hairy and didn’t want to have to deal with it. another reason is somehow i did a Bad Thing and my xawtv program (which also handles my webcam caps) crashes the system hard. so i’m starting over. well, i’m off to tweak the system…
