got job?

so it looks like i finally found some work. i interviewed with Sony Computer Entertainment America for a game tester position this past Wednesday and got called back to come in this Wednesday for orientation. the pay isn’t all too hot (i’ll be making less than half of what i’ve been making), but there’s lots of overtime to be had, which is a good thing. and what this means is that i’ll finally be living in San Diego, just like i’ve wanted for the longest time (see my newly update “want” to the left). but it’s all a little bittersweet for me right now for personal reasons that i really don’t want to share to the entire world. i’ve always envisioned myself virtually jumping for joy on here once i got a job and/or made the move to SD, and i got both, but that’s not going to happen. so if i seem a little off about this good news, that’s all i can tell you. and i probably said too much already. anyways, my buddy Jeff also got the call from SCEA to come in, so that’s pretty cool. i owe him BIG. first for letting me stay at his place for 5 days and also for referring me to interview at SCEA. watta pal! now i wish i could bring the rest of my L.A. friends with me, cuz they are just about the only good people in town, and i will miss hanging out. so to all my former co-workers, Pearl Jam buddies, and everyone else i know: thanks for the help, support, and laughs you’ve given me thru these not-so-ideal times. now come and move down to SD.. .cuz i need a roommate.=) oy. now i just need to find a roommate/place to stay… let’s just hope my experience with that goes quicker than the job search.
