two zero zero three

happy new year, everyone! can’t believe how 2k2 just flew by…

i spent NYE with Tracy and got to meet her sisters and brother-in-law. we all went to this ultra-cool party at the Hilton in Torrey Pines and danced to some really good trance for most of the night. it was a bit pricey to get in, but i had a lot of fun and it was worth it. i’m glad we didn’t go thru our original plan. we had planned on going to this party at the Radisson, but when we went down to the ballroom to check it out, it seemed more like a wedding reception. people were at tables sitting down and hardly anyone was dancing. that and it seemed like everyone knew each other, and the crowd was kinda umm, oldish. so we went with plan B. Tracy’s sisters were on the way to the Hilton party and were going to see if they could get in (the website said that it was a black-tie affair and coats were required) since we were all dressed business casual-like. we got a call and they said that the crowd was pretty diverse so it shouldn’t be a problem for us. so we drove over there and long story short, we got in with about 30 minutes left till midnight and did the countdown on the dance floor and stayed till 3. the music was really good… the NYE kiss i got was even better. =)
