yesterday at work, we moved back upstairs to the new, redesigned QA office. holy crap, our workstations got nerfed! no longer do we have spacious desks and cubes. we now work from these ergonomic carts (think ikea) with barely enough space to hold all of our hardware. for once it’s actually a good thing to have a tiny 15″ monitor. i have no clue how long this will last. i’ve also got a habit of stretching my arms out to the side, but if i do that now, i’ll end up punching my coworkers in the face. i’m serious. i just hope we find a bigger office soon. the one cool thing about this — since we also lost our file cabinets, they gave us lockers to store our stuff in. we got to pick our own and i was able to snag locker number Ten. =)

i’m up at my parents’ house for the weekend. their directv dish had to be realigned (some brush got cleared out beneath it and in doing so, the dish got knocked out of whack) so i went up to the roof and tweaked it. i also had to pick up a bunch of computer parts i ordered and had sent to this address (i don’t really trust having parts sent to my SD place) i’m kicking myself because i forgot to order one cable that i needed. this is what happens when you’re stupid like me. *sigh*

Longo Toyota rules. i think i had mentioned in another blog about their uber lobby, parts shop and starbucks, but today my truck needed 45k mile service, so i brought my laptop along with me and discovered that they’ve got an open wireless network too. shweet. i did a little poking around and it looks like they’re connected via pacbell. i know those DNS IPs all too well.

my pearl jam ticket dilemma has been solved. you’re very welcome, Jen. =)
