Most of this was detailed in the 1st chapter of Michael Moore's latest book that I read last year. Watching this vid is bringing back the anger i felt when i first read it.

July 5th, 2003 admin No comments

out of pure boredom, i decided to google myself today (glad to see the first 2 links linked to my page). here’s some other googled info about myself:

- i submitted my name on the Accidental Superhero website
- i graduated from San Beda HS in 1983
- i created a Kristin Kreuk wallpaper (i don’t know who she is but i checked it out and she’s kinda cute)
- i’m a member of the Filipino Basketball League in Orlando
- last august, i was the winner of the Beaconhills Country Golf Club Juniors (under 15) 9-hole competition
- i’ve got a Civil Engineer License in the Philippines
- last year, i placed 576th in the Las Vegas Marathon, and 638th in the San Diego 5k

about a week or so ago, this video was being passed around the office like a virus. i didn’t know it would have become the next net phenomenon until i saw this. i don’t know what this guy was thinking when he made this video, but i have to thank him for giving me the biggest can’t-breathe-and-crying laugh i’ve had in a loooong time.

california quarter

one of the artists at my work submitted an entry for the design of the California quarter, and it’s currently getting the most votes. her design is coin #2. would be pretty cool if it won!

customer profiling

November 26th, 2002 admin No comments

i just read this rather humorous article about customer profiling on TiVo and Amazon. it’s pretty funny that there was a sitcom episode that featured a “My TiVo thinks I’m gay” subplot because i can relate. although i didn’t have any gay programming recommended to me, i have a show on FoodTV set to record (Good Eats, featuring geek cook Alton Brown), as well as Simpsons and TechTV shows. and as a result, TiVo recommends and auto-records a bunch of cooking shows, Cartoon Network stuff, and a whole lot of shows from the local Spanish stations (which is a mystery to me). so, my TiVo thinks i’m a Hispanic cook who enjoys watching cartoons. =)
