Busy
Wow... It's been more than a week since my last news bit. I've been really busy lately with work and play. At work, I've been doing stuff on-site at another company that doesn't really seem like something I should be doing. But I'm doing it because it's a big deal (literally) for my company. Hopefully it won't go longer than one more week. I kinda feel like I'm doing tech support again. And the 2 tech support jobs I had done previously only lasted 2 weeks each before I quit.
As far as play goes, I can't believe I spent my entire day yesterday playing The Sims... If I wasn't playing that I was either eating or I was in the can. Very addictive game. It was around 8 last night when Blue Streak was going to be on so I was like "okay, I'll do one more thing and then I'll watch the movie". The next thing I know, the movie is finished. Credits rolling. Missed the whole thing. Unbelievable.
And now I have a feeling I'll be playing more Q3 since I just bought this $100 mouse today at Best Buy. I was looking to buy an optical but the dude there was telling me they suck for FPS games, and he sold me on the Razer Boomslang 2000. I've read about this in mags with tons of testimonials saying how much of an improvement it made on their game. And I was thinking "whatever. A mouse can't do that much." Well I am wrong. This mouse kicks major ass. I'm pretty good at Q3 and I was skeptical as to whether or not this mouse would improve my game. Well it did. Tons. This thing is so freakin' accurate. I used to suck with the rail gun. Now it's my best friend. Now I can actually move around and rail people whereas before, I couldn't even rail people standing still. Tons o' fun! =)
I used to think those railers that would be nailing me all this time had some kind of aiming cheat or something, but now I think that they might have this mouse. Anyhoo, now I need to figure out how to get USB working in Linux, since this is a USB mouse. And as far as the price of the mouse goes, it's worth it.
