Edumacated

This morning, I enrolled in an online Java class at Foothill College. Hopefully, this should open up more doors as far as the job search is concerned. I've had to pass over a number of QA-related job postings because of the requirement to know Java.

Knowing an automated testing tool would also open tons more doors. My lack of experience in that has been a thorn in my side ever since I started looking for work, as it seems like almost every QA job out there requires some kind of automated testing experience. Almost by chance, I found a WinRunner certification class at Cal Poly, which I quickly signed up for. It was supposed to have started last week, but it was cancelled and won't start up again till July. Sucks. =(
