Lightroom replacement for macOS
Finally found a good LR replacement after giving up on it after it went to a subscription model. I purchased Capture One but the license was only good for that specific version, so when I upgraded to an M1 MacBook, that software was no longer optimized and missed out on a lot of new features. The UX was a little clunky and I never vibed with it, so I gave up on all that and just relegated to using the built-in photo editing tools on iOS (I mostly take pics on my phone now; the DSLRs only come out on trips if I have the space for the gear).
So when I found out about Photomator, from the makers of Pixelmator, it was an instant buy. Really didn't have to read any how-to's or tutorials and the workflow came very naturally, and I've been using it to touch up older photos taken with point-and-shoot digial cameras in my "FJ Retrospective" posts.
