Just upgraded my GKrellM program from 1.0 to 1.2. Huge improvements made all around. I added sensors support, as well as plugins for XMMS, volume, and a scope meter. I have never seen so much information packed into a small interface, and look badass at the same time. Screenshot to come soon...

I decided to get on the newsgroups today, which I haven't done in months, and downloaded the newest Garbage album - due out in October. I know. Bad Eric. But I'm more than likely going to buy the CD when it comes out anyways, so get off my back, RIAA...

Speaking of newsgroups, I got an email this afternoon from Pacbell saying that they're migrating the news servers over to the SBC/Prodigy network, and will have to use those servers. In addition, they will not be providing feeds to any alt.binaries groups with "multimedia," "mp3," "warez," and others due to the fact that there "may" be copyrighted material on those newsgroups. Duh! I think it's really bogus that they're doing this, and if I wasn't so tired, I would rant even more...

On a semi-related note, I've gone full-circle in the ISP world. My first online provider was Prodigy, back in 1992. From there I went on to AOL, Compuserve, a few local ISPs, Earthlink, AT&T WorldNet, Pacbell, and now with the Pacbell/SBC merge I'm with Prodigy again...
