I lucked out with some sale prices at CompUSA. I was there yesterday to check out what they have for sound cards, and I almost bought one. The SB-Live! X-Gamer... but for some reason, I just didn't buy it. So today, I went over and whaddya know, it's now on sale for $75 – $25 less than the regular price.

Then I just happened to be looking around and I found an almost impossible deal. I bought a Linksys 5-port hub, 100Mbps (not 10), for only $40, normally $60... so I snagged that too. Anyways, I just installed them both and I'm rockin. Had to recompile the kernel to see the new emu10k libs but it wasn't much to stress over. Looking at the Gnome mixer applet, there's a few other sliders in there, including "line 2", which means I'm gonna have to try out surround sound soon!
